Chris Sonnier
Strategic Advisor — Carbon Accounting & Regenerative Supply Chain
USA
Christopher C. Sonnier is VieVert's Strategic Advisor for Carbon Accounting & Regenerative Supply Chain — the architect of the credibility layer connecting VieVert's bamboo-to-biochar system to carbon markets and climate-finance partners.
Chris brings more than twelve years at the exact intersection VieVert occupies. At Low Carbon Beef, he helped design the commercial and government-relations pathway behind what became the first carbon accounting program for beef cattle ever accepted by the USDA. At CDP, the global disclosure system, he managed a Fortune 500 portfolio and founded its Agriculture, Food & Beverage Working Group. As a founding science-team member at Regenified, he helped translate field-verified regenerative outcomes into claims that markets trust — the same discipline VieVert applies from soil to certificate.
His expertise is grounded, literally: he has managed regenerative operations across 52,000 acres, co-founded and produced SXSW Eco, and holds a master's in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard University, where his thesis examined government incentives for regenerative supply chains.
At VieVert, Chris guides carbon methodology selection, verification strategy, and engagement with certification and climate-finance institutions — ensuring that when VieVert says carbon-negative, the world's most demanding auditors agree.
